Dacheng Hall, also known as the Confucius Temple or Wencheng Temple, is located on the northern side of the ancient town within the current premises of Fenghuang No. 1 Middle School. It was first built in the 49th year of the Kangxi reign of the Qing Dynasty (1710 AD). In 2002, it was designated as a provincial-level cultural relics protection unit by the People’s Government of Hunan Province.
