Golden Beach National Forest Park is a national-level forest park.

Tangshan Golden Beach National Forest Park is located in Leting County, Tangshan City, Hebei Province. Approved by the Ministry of Forestry in May 1993, the Golden Beach Bathing Beach is the largest seaside bathing beach in Tangshan. Here, the water is crystal clear, and within 100 meters from the shore, the depth does not exceed 1.5 meters, allowing even non-swimmers to enjoy the waves freely. At 300 meters out, the water reaches a depth of 2 meters, where waves gradually build—vast seas invite bold swimmers to ride the waves and challenge the currents.

Tangshan Golden Beach National Forest Park is located in Leting County and was approved by the Ministry of Forestry in May 1993, covering an area of 29,400 mu.

The Golden Beach Bathing Beach is located 4 kilometers east of Jingtang Port, a major northern harbor. It spans a total area of 1.6 square kilometers along a 5-kilometer coastal sandy belt, featuring fine, soft sand in yellow and white hues—hence the name "Golden Beach." The Golden Beach Bathing Beach is an ideal destination for a variety of activities including sea bathing, sand bathing, sunbathing, fishing, beachcombing, playing in the waves, beach volleyball, and barbecues.

Another highlight here is the Four-Sided Buddha. Originally a meteorite, it was later carved with Buddha images on all four sides to bless local fishermen with safe voyages. Due to historical reasons, it was buried under silt but was rediscovered during a river dredging project.

The houses here may not be luxurious, but they are very clean. If you arrive early, book a seaside room in the first row—you can watch the sunrise from your bed, which is quite delightful.

Transportation

From the Jing-Shen Expressway, head west. After passing Xianghe (95 km), exit at the Tangshan West / Zunhua exit and get onto the Tangshan Outer Ring Road. Continue past the Fengnan toll station heading toward Shenyang. This section is the Tangjin Expressway. After 20 km, exit at Tangshan Leting (toll-free), then turn right onto the Tanggang Expressway. Along the way, you’ll see the Leting & Golden Beach Bathing Beach sign.

Do not exit at that exit—it leads to the Li Dazhao Former Residence. Continue all the way to the final Port Toll Station, where the expressway ends. Keep going straight, then after 7 km, turn right at the T-junction toward Jingtang Port. Continue for 5 km, then turn left at the crossroads toward Jingtang Port. About 2 km later, at the second roundabout, turn left toward Golden Beach. Pay attention: after going straight for 900 meters and crossing a bridge, you should turn right toward Golden Beach Bathing Beach—the sign is small, so keep an eye out. The next section is a slightly bumpy dirt road—roll down the window and you might catch the scent of seafood. After about 3 km, turn left, then drive a few hundred meters more to reach the destination. On the right, you’ll find several resorts to choose from.

July and August are the best months to visit the Golden Beach Bathing Beach, when you can enjoy sea bathing, sand bathing, sunbathing, fishing, beachcombing, playing in the waves, beach volleyball, barbecues, and other activities.
