In order to align with2016the overall plan for the 2016 Tangshan World Horticultural Exposition, and to ensure the long-term, healthy, and orderly development of the Qingdongling Hiking Event, this edition of the hiking event will explore a market-oriented operational model. The event organizer, Hebei Langqun Sports Culture Communication Co., Ltd., and the Qingdongling Management Committee, after six months of preliminary work, have reached a ten-year strategic cooperation intention. Drawing on the successful experiences of large-scale events both in China and abroad, meticulous arrangements and long-term plans have been formulated. At the same time, to establish the Qingdongling Hiking Event as one of Tangshan’s flagship activities, the organizer has specially invited Beijing’s renowned outdoor platform “Green Field Network (Lvyewang)” for long-term collaboration this year, leveraging Lvyewang’s reach to extend across Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Liaoning, Inner Mongolia, and even nationwide. This year’s hiking event has also received strong support from the Zunhua Kaige’er Group and approximately50local outdoor clubs.
The hiking event will take place on11month29at10a.m. in the beautifully scenic, culturally rich, and fresh-air environment of the “World Cultural Heritage” site —— Qingdongling Scenic Area. The full course is18kilometers, and the half course is9kilometers. Participants can choose according to their own physical conditions. The activity route is as follows: Scenic Area Visitor Center —— Longkoumen Reservoir —— Stone Archway —— Dahongmen (Great Red Gate) —— Stone Statues —— Longfengmen (Dragon and Phoenix Gate) —— Seven-Arch Bridge —— Five-Arch Bridge —— Xiaoling Mausoleum Parking Lot (half-course finish line and full-course turnaround point), then return along the same path to the starting point.
Additionally, to help participants gain a deeper understanding of the historical and cultural significance of Qingdongling, the Qingdongling Management Committee has prepared more highlights for this year’s hiking event compared to last year, and welcomes citizens and corporate groups to join in the national fitness movement.This year’s hiking event will feature even more exciting elements compared to last year, and we welcome the general public and corporate groups to join the national fitness campaign.
The Qingdongling Hiking Event has gradually gained recognition and support among outdoor sports enthusiasts and the general public. At the 2nd Qingdongling Hiking Event held last year, approximately43members from outdoor, photography, cycling, and other clubs across our city, as well as Beijing, Tianjin, Liaoning, and cities in our province such as Chengde and Qinhuangdao, along with about3500members of the general public, participated, making it a beautiful highlight of our city’s national fitness and outdoor sports scene. Most participants completed the full20kilometer course, taking between3and5hours.
