On the morning of the 8th, reporters learned from the Tangshan International Convention and Exhibition Center that the 2012 Bohai Rim (Tangshan) Outdoor Sports and Leisure Products Expo, themed “Promoting a Healthy Lifestyle and Boosting Recreational Sports,” will be grandly held from June 29 to July 1 at the Tangshan International Convention and Exhibition Center.
The three-day expo is jointly organized by the Tangshan Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Tangshan Municipal Tourism Bureau, Tangshan Municipal Sports Bureau, and Tangshan Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and co-hosted by Tangshan Oriental International Convention and Exhibition Center Co., Ltd., Tangshan Labor Daily, and Tangshan Evening News. The expected exhibition area will cover 10,000 square meters, divided into five major zones: outdoor sports equipment, camping gear, lifestyle and leisure products, product promotion activities, and outdoor gear experience areas. During the expo, a variety of supporting events will be held, including product promotions, outdoor leisure clothing fashion shows, extreme sports performances, and model airplane competitions. The organizing committee will leverage numerous well-known domestic media outlets such as the internet, television, newspapers, and magazines to provide comprehensive multi-angle coverage, significantly boosting the expo’s visibility and influence. The goal is to attract large numbers of citizens to visit and shop, striving to create the best procurement and trading platform and deliver a cutting-edge outdoor leisure products event.
It is reported that as one of the most dynamic cities in the Bohai Rim region, Tangshan has ranked first among Hebei Province cities in total economic output for several consecutive years. In 2011, Tangshan’s local GDP reached 500 billion yuan, with per capita income exceeding 30,000 yuan. Residents’ incomes have been steadily growing, and their consumption levels are advanced. Citizens are enthusiastic about various outdoor leisure activities, creating huge demand for outdoor and recreational products.
