Huangtai Lake Tourist Area

Huangtai Lake is located on the western side of the city. It is an artificial scenic area excavated along the ancient course of the Luan River, serving both ecological flood control and tourism & leisure purposes. The 8,000-mu water surface features six large and small islands. A cruise boat dock is situated on the eastern shore of the lake, a strip park lies to the west of the dam, Huangtai Mountain Park is on the east side of the dam, and there is a natural bathing beach to the south of Dam No. 3. The western shore is home to the 1,500-year-old Wulishan Cliff Carved Buddhist Statues. The upstream area consists of man-made shelterbelts and wetland landscapes, while the downstream features open-air shelterbelts, wetlands, and wild forests.

Here, the lake water is emerald green, fish leap playfully, birds sing and flowers bloom on both banks, and the air is fresh. Watch the sunrise in the morning, swim in the clear waters at noon, and admire the beautiful scenery of the Huangtai sunset in the evening. Take a leisurely cruise boat ride, play with the fish, stroll barefoot on the soft sand, and enjoy the freedom of exploring the native plants in the wetlands. Walk slowly around the lake and fully immerse yourself in the fresh air. In winter, go ice-skating; in summer, play in the water; in spring, admire the blossoms; in autumn, enjoy the scenery. All of these will lift your spirits and make you reluctant to leave.

Travel Transportation: You can exit from the Qian’an toll station on the Beijing-Shenyang Expressway, head north over the Zhuacun Luan River Bridge, turn west and follow the Qianlai Road, or go west along Gangcheng Road from the city center.
