Longshan Park Scenic Area possesses rich historical and cultural connotations and beautiful legends. The area is characterized by uniquely shaped peaks and strange rocks, as well as verdant pines and cypresses, creating a poetic and picturesque landscape that reveals its captivating beauty and allure. During the Warring States period, Duke Huan of Qi followed the advice of his strategist Gongsun Xibi to locate a spring by following an ant trail—the "Ant Knows Spring" historical site remains; he also took the counsel of Guan Zhong to release an old horse to find its way out of a maze, giving rise to the famous idiom “An Old Horse Knows the Way.” At the summit of Longshan Mountain lies a stone fortress built by Jiang Xingben, the military commander of Emperor Taizong of Tang during the campaign to the east. To the southeast of the mountain stands the Yiqi Temple, built in honor of the two sons of the ruler of the Guzhu Kingdom, Boyi and Shuqi. To the east are Western Zhou dynasty ancient tombs where bronze ware and pottery have been unearthed; on the western side of the mountain lies the Zhuacun Paleolithic site, dating back 42,000 years, where chipped stone tools, bone needles, bone awls, and mammalian fossils have been excavated.

Longshan Park Scenic Area covers an area of 70 hectares and includes attractions such as a hundred-meter-long giant dragon, the Shu Bo Tea Shed, the Qu Yuan Temple, the Guanyin Temple, and the Tang Wang Temple. It hosts two major events annually—on Dragon Boat Festival and National Day—attracting around 100,000 visitors per year and generating an income of 100,000 yuan.

Currently undergoing comprehensive planning, the park aims to become a theme park centered on the story of “An Old Horse Knows the Way,” using three-dimensional scenes to recreate historical events and narrate the origin of the idiom.

Longshan Park is located east of the Longshan Toll Station on the Pingqing Expressway.
