Hubei Changshou Island National Wetland Park is a national-level wetland park.

Changshou Island National Wetland Park is located in Niushou Town, Fancheng District, Xiangyang City, 18 kilometers from the main urban area of Xiangyang. It has a planned total area of 1,715.32 hectares, with a wetland coverage rate of 80.37%. The park features various typical riverine wetland landscapes such as rivers, mudflats, and islands, making it a classic freshwater river wetland. In February 2012, it was approved by the State Forestry Administration as a pilot site for national wetland park construction.

Over the past five years, through comprehensive protection and restoration efforts, Fancheng District’s Changshou Island National Wetland Park has achieved remarkable results and successfully earned its “national designation,” officially becoming a national wetland park. According to statistics, the park now has 109 more vascular plant species and 57 more bird species than before its application, with the number of nationally protected second-class bird species increasing from 5 to 12. The ecological environment continues to improve, offering picturesque scenery.
