The Sanbu Liangdaoqiao Site

The Sanbu Liangdaoqiao Site is a protected cultural heritage site of Hubei Province.

The Sanbu Liangdaoqiao Site

Located about 1 kilometer south of Zhushan Village, Oumiao Town, Xiangcheng District, this is a Neolithic site. Covering an area of approximately 100,000 square meters, the cultural layer is around 1.5 meters thick. Exposed remains include ash pits and fired earth. Artifacts such as stone axes and pottery fragments have been found. The pottery is predominantly gray clay pottery, with red sandy pottery as a secondary type, along with small quantities of eggshell-patterned painted pottery and black clay pottery. The decorative patterns include string patterns, appliqué ridges, and incised lines. Artifact types include tripods, dou (food vessels), cups, bowls, jars, basins, bowls, plates, vats, pot-shaped vessels, and spinning whorls. The site belongs to the Qujialing culture. (Third Batch)

Oumiao Town: Oumiao Town in Xiangcheng District is situated in the southern suburbs of Xiangyang City, bordering Yicheng City to the south, reaching the Han River to the east, and adjacent to Nanzhang County to the west. In April 2001, the town was formed by merging the former Falong and Oumiao towns of Xiangyang County. It now governs 61 villages, 321 villager groups, with a population of 114,800, covering a total area of 228.81 square kilometers and a total arable land area of 120,900 mu.
