The Qiyao Mountain Site is a cultural heritage protection unit of Hubei Province.

Qiyao Mountain Site

A Neolithic to Zhou dynasty archaeological site located in Shatang Village, Yanji Town, Ezhou City, covering an area of approximately 30,000 square meters with a cultural layer about 3.5 meters thick. It contains rich remains, and many stone tools and pottery fragments (sherds) have been collected from the surface. This site holds significant value for studying the history and culture of the region. (Fifth Batch)

Protected Area: East to 30°22′01.83″N, 114°55′58.17″E; West to 30°22′02.22″N, 114°55′51.04″E; South to 30°21′58.87″N, 114°55′55″E; North to 30°22′03.91″N, 114°55′56.19″E.

Construction Control Zone: Extending outward from the protected area — 20 meters east to the west side of a pond, west to the Wuhan Iron and Steel Pellet Railway Special Line, southeast to Guantangwan, and 20 meters north.

Yanji Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Echeng District, Ezhou City. Established as Yanji Township in 1949, upgraded to a town in 1957, changed to a commune in 1958, and re-established as a town in 1984. Located in the northeastern part of the district on the southern bank of the Yangtze River, it is 16 kilometers from the district government. Covering an area of 52 square kilometers with a population of 45,000, it is traversed east-west by the Ezhou–Huangshi Highway. The town administers 18 village committees: Yanji, Baihong, Shatang, Yafan, Mayuan, Yangling, Chihu, Mashan, Citang, Yingshan, Moshan, Haoshan, Longshan, Qingshan, Lupai, Chehu, Duwan, and Bajiao, as well as the Yanji Street Residents' Committee.
