The Shima Zui Tomb is a cultural relic protection unit of Ezhou City.

Introduction to the Shima Zui Tomb

This is an ancient Ming Dynasty burial site, located approximately 300 meters southeast of Shima Zui Bay in Liuzhao Village, Huahu Town, Echeng District, and about 200 meters south of Huama Lake. In front of the tomb are two foundation stones spaced roughly 22 meters apart. A stone horse is buried in the grassy soil, while the original stone turtle and other elements are no longer present. A stone rabbit was moved from its original position in the 1970s when Li Yaoyu’s family built their house, and was relocated again during another construction in 1990 to its current position in front of the house. The stone carvings are characteristic of the Ming Dynasty in both material and design. The protected area of this tomb site spans around 400 square meters, starting from the location of the two foundation stones on the southern slope of the bay. It was designated as a municipal-level cultural heritage protection unit by the municipal government on November 4, 2003.

Liuzhao Village: Liuzhao Village is located in the center of Huahu Town. The Hua-Huang Highway runs east-west through the entire village, while the Han-E Expressway and a light rail line traverse it from north to south. To the east lies Huashan Village, to the west is Yonghua Village. To the south is Huama Lake, and to the north is Mayang Mountain.

The village has a total of 18 natural groups, with 748 households and a population of 2,920. The cultivated land area is 1,985 mu. The village Party committee consists of three members, with the Party branch divided into 12 party groups. There are currently 99 Party members (87 male and 12 female), including 2 probationary members and 5 mobile Party members.
