The Wangjiadi Tomb Complex is an ancient tomb site from the Six Dynasties period, located about 20 meters behind Cao Sanyou’s house in Yafan Village, Yanji Town, Echeng District. Covering an area of approximately 5,000 m², the tombs are distributed east-west on the open land north of Wangjiadi, originally farmland and dry fields. In 1954, tombs were discovered during earth excavation for dike construction. They are oriented north-south, with remnants of earthen mounds 2–3 meters high remaining on the surface. Some tombs have been completely destroyed. Based on inquiries with local farmers, analysis of the external structure of the tombs, as well as the size, patterns, and texture of the tomb bricks, it has been confirmed that these tombs are consistent with other Six Dynasties tombs found in Ezhou. Currently, the northern part of the tomb complex is farmland and ponds, while the southeastern part has been expanded into residential buildings. The current mound area is designated as the protected zone, with a 100-meter buffer zone extending outward. On November 4, 2003, it was announced by the municipal government as a municipal-level cultural heritage protection site.
