Temple Introduction

Shashi Yuantong Temple is located at Hongmen Road Bridge in Lixin Township, Shashi. Under the inspiration of Venerable Master Xinxu, Vice President of the Hubei Buddhist Association, President of the Jingzhou Buddhist Association, and Abbot of Zhanghua Temple in Shashi, as well as through the dedicated leadership and tireless efforts of the current abbot, Venerable Master Chansi, and with the strong support of patrons and devoted disciples, after nearly four years of painstaking development, the temple has now completed major structures including the Mahavira Hall (also known as the Guide Hall), the Skanda Hall, the Ksitigarbha Hall, the dining hall, and monks' dormitories. The temple has basically taken initial shape.
