The Chuanzhu Palace Opera House is a cultural relic protection unit of Hubei Province.

Chuanzhu Palace Opera House

Located on Bibo Road in Shashi District, Jingzhou City, it was originally built in the 10th year of the Qianlong reign during the Qing Dynasty (1745). It was demolished in 1984 and rebuilt in 1986 using the original components. Facing south and situated on a rectangular plane, it covers an area of approximately 960 square meters. The structure consists of the opera house and side chambers on both sides, built with a brick-and-wood structure, featuring a two-story composite form of single-eave hip-and-gable roof and single-eave flush-gable roof. This opera house features ingenious design and exquisite carvings, embodying distinct local characteristics. It holds significant value for the study of the architectural and theatrical history of the Jianghan Plain. (Fifth Batch)
