Mengniu Industrial Tourism Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Mengniu Dairy (Tangshan) Co., Ltd. is located in the Dairy Science and Technology Park on the south side of the Outer Ring Road, Fengrun District, Tangshan City, Hebei Province. It was registered and established in March 2004, covering an area of 230 acres. The facility consists of two individual production workshops. Phase I commenced operations in January 2005 with a total investment of 400 million yuan, featuring 9 TBA/22-type aseptic filling production lines. Phase II officially began operations in May 2007 with a total investment of 200 million yuan, featuring 3 TBA/22-type aseptic filling production lines, 3 TBA/19 production lines, 1 180-bottle yogurt production line, and 1 100-bottle yogurt production line. The company mainly produces liquid milk series, including white milk, dairy beverages, and children’s milk products. The entire production process is controlled by a centralized system, making it the most modern and largest-scale dairy processing enterprise in the Tangshan area.

As a national industrial tourism site, the Mengniu Industrial Tourism Area offers highlights such as liquid milk production, dairy sourcing, and quality inspection centers. Upon entering the Mengniu facility, the production workshops and administrative offices are all designed with glass walls instead of traditional partitions, achieving a fully transparent management style. Over the past 10 years, Mengniu has developed its own unique corporate culture, allowing visitors to better understand and experience the brand.

Committed to ecological and environmental responsibility, Mengniu Dairy places greater emphasis on its own construction, improvement, and development. In line with its goals, the company adheres to principles of maintaining a pollution-free and environmentally harmless operation, avoiding damage to tourism resources and the visiting atmosphere. It strives to achieve the established objective of “building a world-class domestic brand and establishing a global center for the dairy industry.”

The wastewater treatment plant in the scenic area was built in May 2007 and commenced operations on July 15, 2007. Constructed over two and a half months with a total investment of over 8 million yuan, it became the first wastewater treatment plant within the district with a daily processing capacity of 6,000 tons. The treatment plant primarily processes wastewater discharged from production workshops and domestic water use. It mainly employs an anaerobic plus aerobic treatment process to degrade organic matter in the wastewater, ensuring that the treated water meets China’s Class I discharge standards. Recycled water is used for watering plants, landscape irrigation, fish farming for ornamental purposes, while surplus sludge is composted to improve soil. Biogas serves as a high-calorific-value energy source.

Currently, the scenic area’s surface water quality, wastewater discharge, noise levels, and air quality all fully comply with relevant national regulatory standards. The area also maintains an excellent environmental atmosphere, with over 50% green coverage. Plants and landscapes are harmoniously integrated, and both landscaping and environmental beautification combine artificial and natural methods. This creates an immersive experience for visitors, making them feel as though they are in a vast, fresh, and picturesque grassland, promoting a sense of relaxation and well-being.
