Beihé Grand Bridge

Connected to Zhaochai Avenue to the south, it spans the North River and links to Chongfa Avenue. The main works include the bridge structure itself, approach roads on both sides, and a pedestrian walkway beneath the bridge. The external design is a 13-span continuous arch bridge, featuring a total of 14 piers, with 12 cast-in-place piles under each pier. The piers are topped in sequence with bridge columns, arch slabs, retaining walls, and bridge decks. The bridge is nearly 540 meters long in total, with the main span measuring 224 meters. It is 33 meters wide, has a longitudinal slope of 2%, and accommodates six lanes of bidirectional traffic. The southern approach road is 84 meters long, and the northern one is 213 meters long. The Beihé Grand Bridge project served as a pioneering development initiative within our county’s North River New District. It is also a continuous arch scenic bridge. Designed by Tianjin Municipal Engineering Design & Research Institute and constructed by Jiangxi Nonferrous Engineering Co., Ltd., the project had a total investment of 88.22 million yuan. Construction began in August 2009 and the bridge was completed and opened to traffic on May 1, 2011.
