Guye Jinshan Forest Park

Jinshan Forest Park is situated north of Yong’an Avenue and east of Jinghua West Avenue in Guye District, Tangshan City. It officially opened to the public on June 27, 2012, with a total area of 476,394 square meters and a green space area of 405,741 square meters. The park is designated as an urban green lung area for Guye and consists of five functional zones: the central forest landscape area, botanical landscape area, civic activity area, reserved construction land, and park management area.

The park is located in the subsidence area of the Kailuan Tangjiazhuang coal mine, where the ecological environment was once extremely poor. The construction of the park employs various ecological restoration methods to recover the environment at multiple levels and from different angles, thereby establishing a sound ecosystem and transforming it into a green ecological park that integrates plant landscapes and cultural features.

To date, Jinshan Forest Park has completed mountain restoration with 2.3 million cubic meters of fill, covered with 400,000 cubic meters of planting soil, planted 14,589 trees and shrubs of various types, and developed a green area of approximately 150,000 square meters. It also includes 439,000 square meters of green space and water surfaces, 80,000 square meters of various buildings, and boasts a green coverage rate of over 95%.
