Oriental Dragon Theme Park

Oriental Dragon Theme Park is located in the riverside entertainment area of Chinatown within the Tangjin Canal Ecological Tourism Resort, a national 4A-level scenic spot. It borders the Canal Chinatown to the east, covers an area of nearly 1,000 acres, and was invested in and constructed by the Fengnan Urban Construction Investment Co., Ltd. of Tangshan City, with an estimated total investment of 1.5 billion yuan. The project was planned and designed by the Korea Tourism Development Institute, positioned as a world-class nature-themed amusement park. It is planned to include five major themed areas: Rainbow Park, Volcano Park, One Thousand and One Nights, Ice Age, and Adventure Forest. Nearly 70% of the park’s rides and attractions are indoors, ensuring normal operations even in winter.

Construction of Oriental Dragon Theme Park began in May 2011. Apart from the Adventure Forest area, the main structures of the other zones have been completed. The Rainbow Park area officially opened to the public on May 19, 2013. Currently, the park’s landscape tree project, the 4D cinema in Rainbow Park, the arcade in Rainbow Park, the water park in the Adventure Forest area along with surrounding water features and landscaping, the overall Volcano Park area, and the go-kart track are under accelerated construction.

Oriental Dragon Theme Park is a key project within the Tangjin Canal Cultural Industry Cluster in Fengnan District. The project will play an important role in upgrading the local industry and urban renewal, and will provide a high-level off-campus modern technology education base for youth development. Once completed, it will create 800 new jobs, generate 5,600 indirect employment opportunities, and achieve an annual revenue of 560 million yuan.
