Mazu Culture Square

Location: Directly south of Tianfei Palace and the Ancient Theater in Canshakou Village, Liuzan Town.

Admission: Free

Introduction:

Covering an area of 8,000 square meters with a stone-paved ground, the main entrance features an archway inscribed with “Blessings Across the Four Seas.” At the center of the square stands a 9.9-meter-tall white marble statue of Mazu. The west side of the square includes rockeries and a water pool landscape.

Transportation:

Located beside the village road, the site enjoys relatively convenient transportation.

Surroundings:

To the west of the square is a release pond, with residential houses and small shops nearby. A public restroom is located at the southwest corner of the square.

Release Pond

Location: West side of Mazu Culture Square in Canshakou Village, Liuzan Town.

Admission: Free entry to the release pond; boat rental is 40 RMB/hour.

Introduction:

The release garden is situated on the west side of Mazu Square. Built around a natural pond, it covers an area of 3,000 square meters and features walking paths around the pond, boardwalks between the water, leisure pavilions, and other structures. Carp and other fish are kept in the pond, and visitors can rent small boats for a fee to explore the area.
