Chang'e Scenic Area

The Chang'e Scenic Area is located in Tingsiqiao Town, a famous town from the Northern Expedition era, in the southern part of Xianning City. It is 14 kilometers away from the downtown hot spring area and consists of four major scenic zones: Yuquan Valley, Feixian Cave, Jade Rabbit Garden, and Osmanthus Bamboo Forest. Feixian Cave stretches 1,500 meters in length, divided into three levels above and below ground, forming a spiral-shaped three-dimensional labyrinth. Attractions include the Sea-Pacifying Pillar, Musical Stone Waterfall, Peach Banquet, Jade Qilin, Moon Palace Mulberry Tree… The cave’s celestial scenery is truly breathtaking. The Jade Rabbit Garden is a “zoo” made of unique rocks, featuring over 40 exquisite rock formations such as the Lion Roaring at the Sky, Rhino Gazing at the Moon, Eagle Beak Rock, and Tiger Guard. The Osmanthus Bamboo Forest boasts tens of thousands of acres of swaying bamboos, shimmering waves, and a pleasant climate. Yuquan Valley is a green corridor where springs have flowed for a thousand years without drying up. With serene valleys, lush bamboo, flowing streams, cascading waterfalls, birdsong, and floral fragrance, it is hailed as the “Ten-Mile Gallery” and a “natural oxygen bar.”

Tingsiqiao Town: Tingsiqiao Town has a long history and enjoys widespread fame. The Tingsi River splits into eastern and western branches running north-south through the town. The ancient bridge in the center of town was built in 1247 and is currently the oldest stone arch bridge in Hubei Province. The Battle of Tingsiqiao during the Northern Expedition brought the town fame both domestically and abroad. The town covers an area of 180 square kilometers and has a population of 35,000.

Tingsiqiao Town enjoys convenient transportation, with the Beijing-Guangzhou Railway and National Highway 107 passing on either side of the town. The Beijing-Zhuhai Expressway has an exit here.
