Xianning City Museum is a patriotic education base.

Xianning City Museum was officially opened to the public free of charge on April 23, 2013. The museum currently has eight exhibition halls. The first floor features three exhibition halls: the Exhibition of Fine Cultural Relics Unearthed in Xianning, the Exhibition of Major Historical Events in Xianning, and the Exhibition of Historical and Cultural Figures of Xianning. The second floor is the E’nan Chu Charm – Xianning Folk Customs Exhibition Hall, which makes full use of folk cultural relics to showcase the unique regional culture of E’nan. The third floor consists of an Art Gallery and a Multi-functional Temporary Exhibition Hall. The Art Gallery houses calligraphy and paintings by contemporary masters such as Qi Gong, Fan Zeng, and Shao Shenglai, as well as outstanding works by local Xianning artists like Dong Jining.
