Han Chuan Park

Han Chuan Park is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Han Chuan Park is the only comprehensive, public welfare recreational facility in Han Chuan City that integrates functions such as public exercise, leisure, entertainment, and gardening. It is open to the public free of charge, covering a total area of 410,000 square meters, including a water area of 134,000 square meters, a green space area of 267,000 square meters, and a building area and paved road area of 9,000 square meters. It consists of eight major scenic spots: “Majestic Pass Marching,” “Fortune Shines Bright,” “Pure Lotus,” “Silver Lake Listening to Waves,” “Sandbank Soaring,” “High Platform Overlooking the View,” “Fairy Healing the World,” and “Maple Forest Crimson Clouds.” Visitors can walk, ride bicycles, play chess, paddle small wooden boats, or sing and dance in groups in the park. It is a great place for the public (especially young couples) to relax.

Location

Han Chuan Park is located in the western part of the central urban area of Han Chuan City, at the intersection of West Lake Avenue and Lakeside Avenue. You can take Bus No. 2 directly within the Han Chuan urban area to get there.

Scenic Introduction

Right in front of the park’s main gate, a huge stone is engraved with the bright red characters “Han Chuan Park.” On both sides of the gate stand six large stone slabs, painted with exquisite images such as the lotus-picking scene at Di Cha Lake, Guan Yu riding a horse, Mako pottery, and the Erhe Chunqiu Pavilion. Upon entering the park and arriving at the sculpture square, you will see a tall red lotus sculpture, which symbolizes Han Chuan as the “Hometown of Lotus Roots.” Passing the square, you will come to the winding bridge, whose body curves like the hump of a camel all the way to the lake on the other side—hence the name “Winding Bridge.” The carved lotus patterns on the wooden pillars on both sides of the bridge are vivid and captivating.

Passing through the Winding Bridge, you will reach the sandy beach by the lake, where activities such as beach volleyball, sand modeling, and treasure digging can be enjoyed.

Walking down along the lake, you will see a pristine white bridge known as the Three-Arch Bridge. Crossing the Three-Arch Bridge, you will arrive at the Fortune Star Pagoda. Climbing to the top of the pagoda, you can enjoy a panoramic view of all the scenic spots in the park, and at this moment, you will sincerely exclaim: Han Chuan Park is so beautiful!

Construction Information

Han Chuan Park was jointly constructed through asset exchange by the Han Chuan Municipal Government and Fuxing Group. The project was undertaken by Fuxing Technology Han Chuan Yinhu Real Estate Co., Ltd., with a total investment of 86 million yuan and covering a total area of 410,000 square meters in a triangular shape. Construction began on September 28, 2007, with city leaders Feng Yunqiao, Liu Younian, Xiao Qianchuan, Guan Xiangxian, Gao Benxiang, Hu Labing, - Yong, Deng Yicheng, and leaders from Fuxing Group jointly laying the foundation for the commencement of Han Chuan Park.

After two years of construction, it officially opened to the public free of charge during the National Day holiday in 2009. According to official statistics, the park receives no fewer than 1,000 visitors on average per day.
