Longshan Zhongshan Park in Luanzhou is a park themed around commemorating the Luanzhou Uprising during the Xinhai Revolution. Drawing on the construction methods of classical Chinese gardens, the park ingeniously utilizes the natural terrain of Longshan Mountain, excavating lakes to store water and building up earth to shape hills. By combining traditional and modern landscaping techniques, every detail is meticulously crafted to create a comprehensive park that is both charming and refined in taste.

Longshan Park in Luan County Tourism

The park houses a bronze statue of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, which is the 49th of 100 statues donated worldwide by his granddaughter, Ms. Sun Hsiang-ling, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Xinhai Revolution. The full height of the statue is nearly 4.45 meters, with the actual bronze figure standing at 1.83 meters. The statue depicts Dr. Sun wearing a trench coat, holding a book marked with a dash (“—”) in his left hand, leaning on a cane with his right, and gazing directly eastward.

The Luanzhou Uprising Memorial Wall in the park is divided into sections depicting the Luanzhou Military Remonstrance, the Alliance at Longshan, the Outbreak of the Uprising, and the Bloody Battle at Leizhuang, along with subsequent evaluations. The design also incorporates quotes and inscriptions about the Luanzhou Uprising from figures such as Sun Yat-sen, Li Dazhao, and Feng Yuxiang, as well as the Honorary Commemorative Certificate awarded by Mao Zedong to the martyrs of the Luanzhou Uprising, reflecting the strong affirmation and high praise given by numerous revolutionary pioneers and great leaders.
