- The Nightless City is situated on both sides of the Tangjin Canal, south of Huifeng Lake in Fengnan District, Tangshan City, spanning nearly 1,000 meters. Its architecture emulates ancient Ming and Qing-style structures while integrating modern amenities, fusing Tangshan’s traditional opera, tea, and food cultures. It serves as a major original retro commercial street centered on leisure and shopping, drawing visitors from across the country, gathering crowds, and flourishing commerce through its scenic appeal.

The Canal Street is located south of Huifeng Lake and along both banks of the Tangjin Canal, with a total length of 1,000 meters. The project investment was 500 million yuan, with a built-up area of 31,000 square meters and a total of 70 shops. The architectural style of Canal Street is a Ming and Qing-style imitation, positioned to integrate branded dining, leisure shopping, antiques and calligraphy paintings, and tourism sightseeing into one cultural tourism commercial street.

Relying on its water resources, Canal Street connects seven uniquely styled water courtyards and squares via a waterfront pedestrian path. The classic Ming and Qing-style architecture blends Tangshan’s traditional opera culture to recreate a northern version of the Qinhuai scenery. By showcasing group lantern displays fused with modern lighting techniques, it has created the first nightless city in Tangshan City—filling a gap in evening sightseeing options not only for Tangshan but also for the entire northern region.

Currently, Canal Street has opened eight performance venues, including four by the Wuqiao Acrobatic Art Troupe and four within Fengnan District, offering performances all day long.
