Youth Square is located west of Dazhao Road in Leting County and adjacent to the south of the Li Dazhao Memorial Hall. Built in 2001, it covers an area of 115.79 acres with an investment of over 27 million yuan, making it the largest county-level square in Hebei Province. The square’s landscape consists of ten sections: the Golden Mirror, the Cultural and Sports Plaza with cascading water features, the Musical Dry Fountain Plaza, the Activity Lawn, the Sunset Pavilion, the Childhood Meadow, the Youth Tunnel, May Fragrance, the Leisure Plaza, and the Art Corridor. These areas are planned around the basic elements of public leisure life, with open pathways extending outward to allow people to freely and easily enter and exit the square.

Walking along the winding stone paths into Youth Square is like stepping into a poetic, dreamlike fantasy, a fairytale-like realm. The various landscape elements of the square are arranged in a circular layout, with tall phoenix trees standing gracefully, towering pine trees standing solemnly, lush green lawns, and colorful lights in various shapes that create a dreamy atmosphere. As night falls, the lights shine brilliantly. Speakers placed around the square ensure that people strolling or playing can enjoy beautiful music everywhere.

The night lighting design of the square emphasizes both functionality and decorative effect. Four towering light poles reaching towards the sky present a breathtaking, pillar-like presence. On the walkways, buried lights outline the paths with beams of light, while floodlights of varying widths cast different shapes onto the green spaces. Amidst the subtle shadows and light mist, the entire square takes on a more serene, subtle, and charming ambiance. At the center of the square stands a colorful musical dry fountain, where countless sprays of water resemble dancing sprites—lively, light, and adorable. The entire fountain shimmers with vibrant colors, surging powerfully like the ocean when the music swells, or flowing gently like a stream when the melody softens. The layered arrangement is richly textured and leaves a lasting impression, as if a symphony of colored water is in motion. Water jets and streams shoot from the ground in patterns resembling musical staffs, taking on forms like flames, pine waves, harps, clouds, cliffs, and rainbows, achieving a perfect fusion of musical art, sculptural art, and high technology. Here, visitors can freely unleash their spirits, letting their thoughts drift with the fine streams of the fountain as they sway in the wind, while the beautiful music cleanses their souls.

Adjacent to the central musical fountain is the Cultural and Sports Plaza, which can accommodate over ten thousand spectators for performances. The front edge of the stage features cascading water steps that descend gracefully, standing independently in delicate, crystal-clear beauty, both real and illusory. Standing on the stage in the northwest corner of the Cultural and Sports Plaza, one can fully appreciate the cultural charm and historical elegance of the entire square environment. The plaza floor is paved with marble and colored bricks, with a warm color scheme accented by sections of light or dark separations in a grid-like pattern, resulting in an elegant and unique color palette.
