The Malong Bay Scenic Area is a large-scale clay sculpture cultural art garden based on the famous painting "Along the River During the Qingming Festival." Established in 2007, it covers an area of over 200 acres with a total investment of approximately 120 million yuan. Through exquisite clay sculpture art, it presents the bustling scenes along the Bian River from the renowned painting "Along the River During the Qingming Festival" in a three-dimensional and all-encompassing manner—essentially bringing the painting to life. Every clay sculpture is made from local yellow earth, yet it is more precious than gold. Each figure is incredibly lifelike, as if ready to speak. As the saying goes: the legend of Nüwa creating humans pales in comparison to how this classic painting has been revived here. With its three-dimensionality and vivid charm, it invites dialogue and endless delight. Built with the corporate spirit of “innovation, uniqueness, heritage, and transcendence,” this attraction is truly unique—not just in Tangshan, not just in Hebei Province, but across all of China. The essence of clay sculpture culture can be understood as “natural, vivid, unadorned, and approachable.” The clay sculpture garden is the soul of our entire site, filling a void in China’s representation of the ambiance of "Along the River During the Qingming Festival" through clay art. It can be called “a Chinese first and a global only.” The unique scenery formed from clay offers a powerful visual aesthetic. Here, you will not only be moved by the artists' ingenious creativity, but also captivated and awestruck by the exquisitely crafted artworks.

Green ecological tourism mainly includes four aspects: First, our park uses clay sculpture as its primary medium, with local yellow soil—not wood or other materials—as its main material, making our clay sculpture garden a truly green and eco-friendly construction. Second, our ecological sightseeing and fruit-picking garden grows all vegetables and fruits using entirely green, pollution-free methods without any chemical fertilizers. This allows visitors to pick fresh, green, safe, and wholesome fruits and vegetables while also providing abundant ingredients for our park’s restaurant. Third, our lawn wedding plaza offers a vast grassy area where you can fully embrace and enjoy nature, creating a unique wedding experience. Fourth, we offer 100% pure, green, pollution-free, and additive-free peanut oil, traditionally pressed by hand for your peace of mind.

Additionally, the park features: fishing ponds, stream rafting, water amusement parks, dining options, and antique-style guest rooms. The multifunctional grand stage in the park not only lets you enjoy a variety of exciting performances but also gives you the chance to showcase your own talents.

The scenic area’s Twin Dragons Playing with Wine Dining Hall was built at the place where Emperor Huizong and Emperor Qinzong of the Song Dynasty once drank wine and longed for their homeland. The restaurant’s theme also centers around clay sculpture culture—all elements such as the bar counter, bridge railings, floors, and room doors and windows are handmade clay sculptures. The walls display scenes from the long scroll of "Along the River During the Qingming Festival" through hand-painted artwork. The stage in the restaurant uses shadow puppetry to showcase traditional Chinese culture. In the buffet area, the crab and shrimp-shaped serving vessels, all made of clay sculpture, are surprisingly heavy, requiring more than ten people to lift them. The uniquely designed dining tables and chairs take inspiration from Song Dynasty official hats, symbolizing nobility and adding a strong retro atmosphere.

Transportation: From Tangshan (Fengrun), take bus No. 102 or 110 to Changzhuang Station, then transfer to a minibus or hire a car to reach Malong Bay.

Self-driving Route: Exit at Tangshan North on the Beijing-Shenyang Expressway, turn onto National Highway 102, then turn right at the intersection with Yinhe Road. Continue forward until you see the sign and turn left.
