Earthquake Site of Hebei University of Technology

The Earthquake Site of Hebei University of Technology is a cultural tourism attraction.

After merging with Tangshan Coal Medical College, Hebei University of Technology was renamed Hebei United University, and in recent years, it has reverted to its original name, Hebei University of Technology.

The Earthquake Site of Hebei University of Technology is the preserved ruins of the former university library. It has been reinforced and maintained as a site of national importance and is now a key cultural relic under state protection.

The Earthquake Site of Hebei University of Technology has stood for 40 years. At that time, Tangshan experienced an unprecedentedly massive earthquake, which leveled the entire city. Only a few buildings remained standing, twisted and tilted — one of them was Hebei University of Technology, which was preserved as a memorial.
