Luancheng Times Square covers an area of 50,000 square meters, with 35,000 square meters of green space, achieving a green coverage rate of 70%. The project had a total investment of over 10 million yuan and was completed in 2002.

The entire square is fresh, bright, and fully functional. It consists of three parts. The eastern section—Zone—is vast and majestic, featuring a flag-raising platform; five white marble columns are arranged from east to west, symbolizing the continuous improvement of people’s lives and the progressive history of the Chinese nation. Their design evolves from simple to complex, step by step, representing the 5,000-year development of Chinese civilization. The central part is a sunken square, which is round outside and square inside, symbolizing the governance philosophy of the Luancheng County Party Committee and County Government. Internally, it stands for being upright and principled; externally, it reflects the favorable investment environment of “Invest in Luancheng, and everything will be taken care of.” At the center of the square stands the iconic sculpture “Soul of Luanzhou,” which is grand and imposing, symbolizing how the people of Luancheng, with their hardworking hands, are lifting a happy life for the new century in the 21st century. The flower beds on both sides of the sunken square are designed to resemble structures made of logs, and the vibrant seasonal flowers add a splash of color to the square. The western section combines small bridges and flowing water with a large musical fountain, creating a highly poetic and picturesque scene.

The various sections are closely connected with naturally smooth transitions. The green areas feature undulating terrain, with meandering paths that are natural and fluid; the green spaces include several lively animal and plant-themed ornaments, as well as flower stands and flower racks that are a delight to the eye. The plant arrangement is rich and diverse (including cedar, white pine, ginkgo, silk tree, magnolia, crabapple, peach blossom, crape myrtle, hibiscus, red prince ribbon flower, and rose), with lawns, patterns, and a three-dimensional mix of trees, shrubs, and ground cover. The animal and plant sculptures are exquisitely crafted, together forming a series of beautiful scenes.

The square’s lighting facilities are top-notch, with 210 uniquely designed lamps that make the square shine brilliantly at night. Together with the colorful fountains, they create a spectacular view.
