Jingmen Martyrs' Cemetery is located at No. 2 Lingyuan Road, Longquan Subdistrict Office, Dongbao District, Jingmen City.

Jingmen is a land rich in revolutionary history. Shortly after the founding of the Communist Party of China, the seeds of revolution were sown here. During the Agrarian Revolutionary War, Jingmen was an important part of the Hunan-Hubei-Jiangxi Soviet Area, where He Long led the Red Army in battles here on multiple occasions. During the War of Resistance against Japan, proletarian revolutionaries of the older generation such as Li Xiannian left glorious footprints of battle in Jingmen. During the Liberation War, Jingmen played a special role in supporting the Central China Campaign and the southward advance of the Liberation Army. Over the long course of the revolutionary struggle, thousands of brave sons and daughters laid down their lives on the battlefield. To commemorate these revolutionary martyrs, in 1957, the People’s Government of Jingmen County built the Jingmen Martyrs' Cemetery by the Wenming Lake at the foot of Xiangshan Mountain. In November 1979, the county-level Jingmen City was established. After the merger and upgrade of the county and city in August 1983, and due to urban development needs, in 1992, the People’s Government of Jingmen City relocated the Jingmen Martyrs' Cemetery to the summit of Xiangshan Mountain. Facilities such as the Martyrs’ Monument, Revolutionary Martyrs’ Tomb, and Martyrs’ Name Wall were constructed, and the Jingmen Martyrs' Cemetery Management Office was established to be specifically responsible for the management and maintenance of the cemetery. The cemetery covers a building area of 1,400 square meters, with a protected area of 11,000 square meters. The Revolutionary Martyrs’ Monument, built in 1992, stands 28 meters tall, with bas-reliefs carved on all four sides of its base. The front inscription “Revolutionary Martyrs’ Monument” was personally written by Li Xiannian, while the back inscription “Eternal Glory to the Revolutionary Martyrs” was personally penned by Chen Pixian. The cemetery houses over 50 tombs of revolutionary martyrs, each with a simple monument introducing the life of the martyr. There is also a Martyrs’ Name Wall inscribed with the names of 4,719 martyrs from all revolutionary periods in the city.

In February 1999, Jingmen Martyrs' Cemetery was designated as a Hubei Provincial Patriotic Education Base by the People’s Government of Hubei Province, and in October 2009, it was listed as a Hubei Provincial Key Martyrs’ Memorial Building Protection Unit.
