Godzilla Special Exhibition Makes Global Debut in Taiwan First Stop Here — Six Must-See Photo Spots Revealed

Organized by Japanese film company Toho, the large-scale Godzilla exhibition “Godzilla: King of the Monsters Special Exhibition,” held outside Japan for the first time, has landed at Songshan Cultural and Creative Park. This exhibition features a complete collection of classic Godzilla models from every generation, movie filming sets, destroyed cities, overturned vehicles, and more. Additionally, there’s a massive 4-meter-tall Godzilla with sound and light effects to immerse visitors in the experience. Furthermore, Toho has specially designed an exclusive scene for Taiwan.

1. 【Encounter Godzilla】GODZILLA ENCOUNTER
The most eye-catching highlight of this Godzilla special exhibition is the massive Godzilla roaring loudly in a pile of burning rubble at the end of the exhibit. Based on the in-show setting, this 1/12 scale Godzilla stands over 4 meters tall and puts on a sound-and-light show every few minutes.

2. 【Godzilla Evolution Exhibition】GODZILLA LEGEND
This area introduces the history of Godzilla from the first film in 1954 up to the latest animated work in 2018, “GODZILLA: Planet of the Monsters.” Eleven movies showcase Godzilla’s evolution. The exhibition recreates the iconic “Oxygen Destroyer” prop used to battle Godzilla in the original film and specially displays five Godzillas that represent different eras.

3. 【Godzilla Film Production Studio】STUDIO TOUR (CREATORS ROOM)
At the beginning of Godzilla film production, the acting department would first define the roles of each character. In this area, you can see the working environment where designers created the characters. On the director’s desk are numerous sketches and design drafts of various character forms, where you can view the early drafts of Godzilla characters from the 1989–1995 films.
