Opening on August 6th: Get a Sneak Peek at the Nighttime Light Test of Chiayi’s New Landmark — the “KANO Sphere”

The “KANO Baseball Park,” located next to Chiayi Municipal Baseball Stadium, will officially open on August 6th. One of its major highlights is the giant “KANO Sphere,” made of aluminum alloy, with a diameter of five meters and weighing four metric tons. Yesterday,photographer Hong Nianhongshared aerial photos of the sphere’s nighttime light sculpture test on his personal Facebook page. Under the vibrant lights, it looks even more stunning!

The KANO Baseball Park is situated west of the stadium along Qiming Road, covering an area of 4,190 pyeong (approximately 13,840 square meters). The KANO Sphere is located in front of Exit 6 of the baseball stadium. This sphere, which cost 4.4 million NTD to construct, is made of aluminum alloy, has a diameter of five meters, and weighs four metric tons. Paired with a nighttime light sculpture show, it enhances Chiayi’s night scenery and is expected to become a new popular photo spot.

The KANO Baseball Park also features a baseball-themed boulevard, a Baseball Hall of Fame wall, an outdoor grassy music theater, a baseball sculpture area, a baseball painting treasure hunt zone, and a vendor area. Inside the stadium, part of the space has been renovated into a multimedia baseball history museum, along with a baseball-themed shop and a café offering light meals.

This year’s KANO Season Tourism Carnival will be held from August 6th to 12th. The KANO Baseball Park will also officially open on the opening day. Fans of the movie *KANO* and baseball enthusiasts, don’t forget to plan a pilgrimage during your holiday!
