The Military-Civilian Cooperative Restaurant is a cultural relic protection unit of Hubei Province.

The Military-Civilian Cooperative Restaurant

The former site is located south of Minzhu Street in Longquan Subdistrict Office, Dongbao District, Jingmen City. From 1938 to 1939, the Military-Civilian Cooperative Restaurant was situated here. It served as a public platform for anti-Japanese war propaganda and the implementation of unified policies, as well as a secret liaison station for the Communist Party. Its establishment helped solve the accommodation and dining issues for soldiers and civilians during the resistance. In the summer of 1939, the restaurant was shut down due to obstruction by the Kuomintang. The site is 11.288 meters wide and 11.57 meters deep, featuring blue bricks, clay tiles, and a brick-and-wood structure. This former site was an important venue for the Chinese Communist Party’s wartime propaganda efforts during the Anti-Japanese War and holds significant historical and educational value.
