Butterfly Valley is located in the south of Luanchuan County, bordered by Chicken Crown Cave and Peach Mountain to the west, and Laojun Mountain to the east. A stream runs through the valley floor, where small bridges, flowing water, and pleasant scenery abound. Thousands of butterflies grow naturally here, and colorful butterflies can be seen dancing throughout the valley. The valley is home to 385 species of wildlife, with wild vines and fruits forming a green corridor, while mountain wildflowers compete in a riot of colors. Upon entering the canyon, butterflies fill the air, creating a scene that is both refreshing and delightful.

The valley features numerous scenic spots, with interconnected pools and streams, lush forests, and graceful bamboo. The views change at every step. Major attractions include Happy Forest, Butterfly Spring, Jade Maiden Pool, Rainbow Waterfall, Three-Tiered Rock, Butterfly Fairy Spring, Heavenly Pool, Southern Heavenly Pillar, and the Primitive Forest Oxygen Bar Area. This is not only a habitat for butterflies but also a paradise for tourists seeking summer retreats.
