Half a year ago, this was still a barren grassland;
Half a year ago, this was part of the future planning area for Luanchuan Water Town;
Half a year ago, this was just a small idea proposed by Asia-Europe Lianjing Tourism Culture Development Group, the technical service provider for Luanchuan Water Town.

But a single spark can start a prairie fire. Even such a tiny idea—Asia-Europe Lianjing, whose core development philosophy is “pan-recreation”—quickly assembled a team, held meetings, discussed plans, and in a short time, presented a fully developed proposal to the Luanchuan County Government.
The winter carnival plan was quickly approved by the Luanchuan County Government and received strong support from the Luanchuan Tourism Work Committee and the Propaganda Department. Asia-Europe Lianjing and Luanchuan Urban-Rural Tourism Development Co., Ltd. began implementing the carnival plan.
Everything started from nothing.
The selected event site was still a barren grassland, uneven and bumpy. To completely transform it within six months was an enormous undertaking.
To turn wasteland into a wonderland, leaders from all departments of Asia-Europe Lianjing shuttled between Beijing and Luanchuan, leading a group of capable team members in early-stage operations and promotional preparations.
To turn wasteland into a wonderland, leaders from all departments of Asia-Europe Lianjing shuttled between Beijing and Luanchuan, leading a group of capable team members in early-stage operations and promotional preparations.
Meanwhile, the Luanchuan government, the Luanchuan Tourism Work Committee, the Propaganda Department, as well as local enterprises like Luanchuan Urban Construction, were equally committed, going all out to prepare for this winter carnival project.
Six months to turn a place covered in overgrown grass into a summer playground—that timeline seemed incredibly tight.
But when it comes to fun, we mean business.
The tight schedule couldn’t dampen the enthusiasm. One month, two months, three months... Time ticked away amid intense preparations. July arrived quietly amidst everyone’s busyness, and the promotional push had reached its final stage.
According to the original plan, July 15 would be the opening day of the winter carnival. That once overgrown land had vanished, the ground now a flat lawn, and some amusement facilities had gradually begun to take shape.
However, with less than half a month until opening, there were still many things left undone at the park that was about to open to the public. Time was running out. Everyone was doing the work of multiple people, yet there was still a nagging feeling that perhaps we might not be able to open on July 15 as planned.
Postpone the opening? The leaders didn’t agree, nor did the colleagues. All the promotions had already been launched—how could we back out halfway? When it comes to fun, we mean business. We’re responsible to ourselves, to the government, and even more so to the visitors who are coming specifically for the opening.
With no way back, we could only push forward with everything we had.
Unafraid of the heat, unafraid of exhaustion, they practically lived on-site, eating, sleeping, and working within the event grounds.
In the final ten-day countdown, the overall facilities of the park became increasingly complete—the food street was ready, the amusement rides were ready, the tech experiences were ready, the acrobatic performance teams were ready. Everything was finally ready.
At nightfall, looking at the sparkling lights that lit up the entire park, every tired face wore a deep smile—the joy of enduring hardship and finally reaping the rewards.
With five days left on the countdown, everyone waited quietly, anticipating the grand carnival opening.
But an unexpected storm disrupted our rhythm. Strong winds knocked down fences, messed up all the carefully arranged setups, and even caused the constructed stage to tilt. This happened just five days before the opening.
Five days—though not starting from scratch, fixing the facilities damaged by the storm now seemed nearly impossible.
Exhausted bodies, bitter hearts. After half a year of hard work, were we really going to falter at the last moment?
No, that was absolutely not going to happen.
There’s nothing impossible in this world—only rolling up your sleeves and giving it your all.
Four days, three days...
Time slowly ticked away. Leaders and staff worked tirelessly within the park until the very last day before the winter carnival opening—July 14th evening—when the dazzling lights of the park lit up once again, and they were still hard at work...
We worked non-stop until eleven o’clock at night. Everything was once again refined, and everything had become absolutely perfect. Gazing at the dazzling lights and neon glows across the garden, faint smiles appeared on everyone’s tired faces—because tomorrow would be a big day.
We may not be able to control the forces of nature, but the forces of nature cannot overcome our conviction, because when it comes to creating attractions, we are serious.
On July 15th, the Luanchuan Water Town Ice and Snow Carnival grandly opened. On the opening day alone, the visitor count exceeded ten thousand... and the record has been continuously climbing...
By August 15th, the closing date of the Ice and Snow Carnival, over the course of one month, the carnival had attracted a total number of visitors far exceeding expectations. The atmosphere was extremely lively, and overall social feedback and evaluations were highly positive.
This outcome is gratifying; this outcome makes all the efforts over the past six months worthwhile, because the seeds sown in spring have yielded perfect fruit in August.
The harvest is a cause for joy, but the fact that the carnival project achieved zero accidents over the entire month is equally something we can be proud of. It’s important to note that as a high-traffic event area, the ice and snow carnival is a place where safety incidents are most likely to occur. However, this event, in response to the overall tourism safety initiatives of Luanchuan County, successfully achieved the goal of zero accidents. This is our pride and also recognition from the Luanchuan County Government for this event.
Sow one grain in spring, reap ten thousand in autumn. With the joy of harvest, let this great success become motivation to keep striving in the future.
