Zhenping International Jade City is a National AAAA-level Tourist Attraction.

The International Jade City National AAAA-level Scenic Area is situated in Shifosi Town, Zhenping County, Nanyang City, Henan Province — known as the hometown of jade carving in China. Spanning a total area of over 1,300 acres, the project has received an investment of 1 billion RMB and was planned and constructed by Henan Wan Zheng Real Estate Development Co., Ltd. As the largest international comprehensive development project for jade carving and jade culture in Nanyang and even across China, the International Jade City has been listed as a key project of the Nanyang Municipal Government, one of the nine major key projects of Zhenping County in 2007, and has garnered high attention and active interest from the provincial party committee and government. Designated as a cultural reform and development pilot zone in Henan Province, it serves as the world’s largest wholesale base for jewelry, jade artifacts, and related handicrafts, as well as a top-tier international tourist shopping park in China. In January 2012, it was rated as a National AAAA-level Scenic Area. It enjoys convenient transportation, being just 30 kilometers from Nanyang Airport, 15 kilometers from the Er’guang Expressway, and 4 kilometers from the Shanghai–Xian Expressway.

The Henan Nanyang International Jade City Scenic Area is located in Shifosi Town, Zhenping County, Henan Province — known as the hometown of jade carving in China. The project covers a total area of over 1,300 acres, with an investment of 1 billion RMB. It was planned and developed by Henan Wan Zheng Real Estate Development Co., Ltd. As the largest international comprehensive development project for jade carving and jade culture in Nanyang and even nationwide, the International Jade City has been listed as a key project of the Nanyang Municipal Government and one of the nine major projects of Zhenping County in 2007. It has drawn significant attention and support from the provincial government, and is recognized as a cultural reform and development pilot zone in Henan Province. Serving as the world’s largest wholesale base for jewelry and jade artifacts, as well as a first-class international tourist shopping park in China, it was rated as a National AAAA-level Scenic Area in January 2012. The International Jade City will collect, organize, and construct the largest Chinese Jade Culture Corridor in the country, serving as both a showcase for traditional jade culture and a platform for launching new chapters in contemporary jade culture. This area presents the glorious 5,000-year history and achievements of Chinese jade culture through text, images, and partially through physical replicas and rubbings. It features over 10 exhibition zones. The International Jade City has specially established this distinctive Jade Culture Corridor section, representing an innovation and advancement in the display of jade carving culture both nationally and globally. This also reflects the open image and the innovative essence of jade culture embodied by the International Jade City.

The architectural details of the International Jade City — including sculptures, landscape features, and garden characteristics — are infused with a rich ambiance of jade culture. As the world’s largest wholesale base for jewelry and jade artifacts and a new hub for showcasing Chinese jade culture, every architectural element of the International Jade City — from garden landscapes to water features and sculptures — exudes a strong sense of jade culture. Being in the Jade City is like immersing oneself in an ocean of gems and jade, as well as in the vast expanse of jade culture. Every nerve, every breath, and every glance is filled with and permeated by the historical essence of China’s millennia-old jade carving civilization.

The International Jade City has a total construction area of 1 million square meters and can accommodate over 5,000 merchants. It is divided into well-planned zones with complete functions and unique characteristics, comprising 12 major functional areas: the Premium Jade Products Zone, Temple Zone, Plaza Landscape Zone, Leisure Service Zone, Riverside Park Zone, and Unique Stone Carving Zone, among others. Once completed, the project will become the world’s largest super-large comprehensive jade carving market integrating jade wholesale, jade culture exhibitions, and leisure entertainment — a globally coveted city of fine jade, a shopping paradise, and a pinnacle of wealth. The first phase of the International Jade City includes luxury shops with a total construction area of 100,000 square meters and over 500 merchants. A grand opening ceremony was held in 2010, showcasing top-tier precious jade carvings from around the world and welcoming guests from all directions. This marks a new stage of development for the jade carving industry in the jade hometown — characterized by industrial agglomeration, scaling, and specialization.

The key project of the first phase of the International Jade City — Yuhai Supermarket — officially opened for business on the auspicious day of the Dragon Raising Its Head in the Year of the Dragon. Focusing on mid- to low-end jade carving products, it complements and differentiates from the high-end premium jade offerings of the first-phase luxury shops in terms of product grade and variety. This greatly satisfies the jade purchasing needs of consumers at different levels — high, medium, and low — thus achieving product diversification and broad market coverage. Yuhai Supermarket has a total business area of 15,000 square meters, primarily dedicated to jade wholesale and retail, featuring 1,500 high-quality stalls. The supermarket is equipped with underfloor central air conditioning, luxury elevators, integrated lighting, private safes, intelligent surveillance systems, and business lounges. It also houses a jewelry and jade appraisal service center. It is currently the world’s largest, highest-grade, most comprehensive, and best-serviced super jade market, dealing in renowned types of jade such as Hetian jade, jadeite, white jade, Duyu, and jadeite. Shifosi Town: Known as a famous town in Central China, Shifosi is located in the northwest of Zhenping County in southwestern Henan. It borders National Highway 207 to the east, National Highway 312 to the south, and the Funiu Mountain range to the north. The Ningxi Railway runs through the town, while the Zhao River flows from north to south across its entire territory. The Zhao Bay Reservoir, a national second-class large reservoir with a capacity of 100 million cubic meters, sits like a shining pearl to the north of the town.
