The traditional residences of Shanbeizhang Village are located in Shanbeizhang Village, Zaoyuan Town, Zhenping County. They date back to the Qing Dynasty. These residences are among the seventh batch of cultural heritage sites protected by Henan Province.

Zaoyuan Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Zhenping County. Zaoyuan Commune was established in 1965, changed to a township in 1983, and upgraded to a town in 1996. It is located in the southwestern part of the county, 27 kilometers from the county seat. Covering an area of 65 square kilometers, it has a population of 40,000. The Ya (yuan) Jia (song) and Ya (yuan) Qu (tun) highways pass through the town. The Yanling River and Hei River flow through the township. It administers 19 village committees: Jiangliuwa, Gouwang, Lühua, Taliang, Shannan, Donghuang, Shanbeizhang, Xiahù, Zaoyuan, Yangjia, Laoshiying, Chen'gang, Yuchima, Zhougang, Chenghuangmiao, Xiaxinying, Lan'yinzhang, Gangli, and Dawangmiao.
