Remains of Taiziling at Han Zhanglou

The remains of Taiziling at Han Zhanglou are a cultural relics protection unit of Henan Province.

The remains of Taiziling are located in Han Zhanglou Village, Laohe Township, Yicheng District, approximately 1.5 kilometers southeast of the Laohe Township government seat. It is a provincial-level key cultural relics protection unit. The site rises 8.3 meters above the ground, with a cultural layer 2.6 meters thick. Shaped like an upside-down “V” from north to south, it measures 250 meters in length and 95 meters in width, covering an area of 21,750 square meters. Artifacts unearthed include stone axes, adzes, chisels, arrowheads, pottery spinning wheels, tripod legs, double-warming basins, plates, bowls, deer antlers, animal bones, and animal teeth. Decorative patterns feature horizontal blue stripes, straight bands, and plain surfaces. Based on the analysis of the collected cultural relics, the site includes elements of the Yangshao Culture, Longshan Culture, and Qujialing Culture types, identifying it as a Neolithic cultural site.
