Taikang Liuzhuang Site

The Taikang Liuzhuang Site is a cultural tourism attraction.

The Liuzhuang Site, commonly known as Niuwang Gudui (Ox King Mound), is located 300 meters south of Liuzhuang Village, approximately 20 kilometers southeast of Taikang County in Zhangji Township. In 2006, it was designated as a municipal-level cultural heritage site by the Zhoukou Municipal People's Government.

The Liuzhuang Site is a sloping earthen mound, reaching a maximum height of about 6 meters and covering an area of 10,000 square meters. The site contains remains from the Longshan Culture and the Shang-Zhou periods. Pottery shards from the Longshan Culture are predominantly made of gray clay, with lesser amounts of sandy gray clay and very few red clay pieces. The decorative patterns mainly consist of checkered designs, along with rope patterns, string patterns, and plain polished surfaces. Five bronze artifacts from the Shang Dynasty were unearthed at the southeastern end of the site, including a jue (wine cup), gu (wine vessel), you (wine container), and ge (dagger-axe).
