The Site of Fengyitai

The Site of Fengyitai is a cultural relic protection unit of Taikang County.

The Site of Fengyitai is located in Fengyitai Village, Chengxiao Township, about 4 kilometers northeast of Taikang County. The site is slightly elevated above the ground, covering a total area of approximately 20,000 square meters. In 1999, it was designated as a county-level cultural relics protection unit by the People's Government of Taikang County.

The cultural layer at the Fengyitai Site is 1–3 meters thick. Excavated pottery includes vessels such as yan (steamers), gui (tripod ewers), dou (stemmed bowls), straight-rim folded-mouth jars, large-mouthed zun (wine vessels), and li (tripod cauldrons). The pottery is mostly made of clay, with red clay pottery being the second most common. Decorative patterns include checkered designs, basket weave patterns, rope impressions, ring patterns, and plain polished surfaces. The Fengyitai Site is a cultural heritage site associated with the Longshan Culture and the Shang-Zhou periods.
