The Tomb of Jiang Yan is a cultural tourism attraction.

The Tomb of Jiang Yan is located 6 kilometers west of Yue Village, northwest of Beiguanji in Minquan. In front of the tomb originally stood a stele erected during the Chenghua era of the Ming Dynasty to commemorate Jiang Wentong (Jiang Yan), which has since become damaged. Only the three characters “醴陵侯” (Marquis of Liquan) are faintly legible. Jiang Yan (444–505 AD), courtesy name Wentong, was a native of Kaocheng in Jiyang (present-day Minquan County). According to the surviving Jiang Family Genealogy, Jiang Yan was the seventeenth-generation ancestor of the Jiang family from Jiangji Village in the area. He lived through the Song, Qi, and Liang dynasties of the Southern Dynasties period and was not only a renowned literary figure in Chinese history but also a courageous politician who dared to speak his mind and challenge the powerful. His poetry and prose, including the famous “Farewell Ode” (别赋) and “Ode to Regret” (恨赋), have been highly praised by later generations. Today, four volumes of his Collected Works of Jiang Wentong are still extant.

It lies at the junction between Shangqiu and Kaifeng cities, and at the border between Henan and Shandong provinces. The town has a population of 64,700 and covers an area of 90 square kilometers.
