The Yingfeng Dog Sports Park Reopens—Come Play with Your Furry Friend!

Following six months of renovation work, the Taipei City Yingfeng Dog Sports Park, situated in the Jintai section of Yingfeng Riverside Park, officially reopened on May 31. In addition to preserving the design that separates human and dog resting areas and allows dogs to move and exercise freely, the park has also installed new nighttime lighting. Residents can now bring their furry companions along for outdoor activities and exercise.

The Yingfeng Dog Sports Park spans one hectare and is divided into a large dog zone and a small dog zone. The park is also equipped with dog agility hoops, climbing boards, resting tables and chairs, paw-washing stations, dog waste bins, as well as convenient cleaning facilities and dog waste bags. Dogs can run and play off-leash, make new friends, and enjoy a space that encourages socialization.

According to the Taipei City Animal Protection Office, the Yingfeng Dog Sports Park, which was first established nationwide on May 20, 2006, has been in use for seven years and is the country’s first dog sports park where dogs can roam without leashes. Most of the original facilities had gradually aged and become unusable, so the office began a comprehensive renovation project in December 2013. The renovation specifically addressed multiple issues at the park. Now, the metal fences have been completely replaced, the grounds have been reseeded and leveled, drainage has been improved, and nighttime lighting has been added. These upgrades effectively resolve the site's previous problems and better meet the needs and expectations of residents and dog lovers. By Car:
1. From Jianguo North Road heading north, turn onto Binjiang Street and follow the road along the airport from south to north until you reach the area under the Minquan Bridge. Enter through Gate 6, turn left, and go about 1 kilometer to arrive.
2. From National Freeway No. 1: Take the Binjiang Interchange exit, turn left, and follow the road along the airport from south to north until you reach the area under the Minquan Bridge. Enter through Gate 6, turn left, and go about 1 kilometer to arrive.

By Public Transportation:
Take bus routes 33, 72, 222, or 286 from Dazhi Bridge to Zhongshan Bridge along the Keelung River in Taipei’s Zhongshan District to reach the park.
