Wendeng Museum

Wendeng Museum was established in December 1994. It currently houses a collection of 907 historical relics, including 1 first-grade relic, 1 set (2 pieces) of second-grade relics, 28 third-grade relics, and 107 folk relics.

The museum is situated at 57 Liuying Street, Wendeng City, on the former site of the Cong Family Ancestral Hall. It operates under a unified system with the Wendeng Cultural Relics Management Office, sharing one institution, two names, and one team. The Cong Family Ancestral Hall is a quadrangle courtyard building from the late Qing Dynasty and early Republican period, forming an independent courtyard with an area of approximately 1,155 square meters, surrounded by residential and commercial buildings.

Wendeng Museum is a comprehensive regional museum with a total exhibition area of over 6,000 square meters. Themed “Dragon Spirit and Cultural Heritage,” it consists of eight exhibition halls that vividly showcase Wendeng’s unique prehistoric, Confucian, Taoist, Li Long, and revolutionary cultures through a rich array of artifacts and lifelike, immersive scenes. In addition, the museum features specialized personal exhibitions such as the Xing Liangkun Ceramics Art Gallery, the Yu Zhiyuan Art Gallery, and the Yu Zhixue Art Gallery, highlighting the outstanding achievements of Wendeng scholars in various fields. In September 2018, Wendeng Museum was officially designated as a National Second-Class Museum by the Chinese Museums Association.
