Wuzheng Songyue Lake Water Conservancy Scenic Area

Wuzheng Songyue Lake Water Conservancy Scenic Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

The scenic area is located in Songbai Township, Wulian County, and is built around Changchengling Reservoir. It is a reservoir-type water conservancy scenic area, covering a total area of 5.6 square kilometers. The area is bordered by Jiuxian Mountain and Wulian Mountain to the south, and looks out toward Mafeng Mountain, the highest peak in southeastern Shandong, to the east. The entire scenic zone features a harmonious blend of mountains and water, enjoys a pleasant climate, and is surrounded by abundant forest and fruit resources, dense woodlands, and deep, tranquil waters; the valleys among the mountains have well-defined and varied orientations, while the reservoir surface is broad with stable water levels and clear water quality. The surrounding mountain bodies exhibit classic northern granite bedrock geology, where exposed granite surfaces, after hundreds of millions of years of weathering and erosion, have formed numerous isolated rock formations that cover large areas. At a glance, these odd-shaped, shimmering rocks resemble rolling waves of stone, soaring through the sky and creating a truly breathtaking sight. The scenic area has already established a resort center, forming a fully equipped reception network integrating dining, accommodation, transportation, sightseeing, shopping, and entertainment.

Approved as a twelfth-batch provincial-level water conservancy scenic area in 2015.
