Wang Yongfeng, Deputy Director of the Mountaineering Sports Management Center of the General Administration of Sport of China and Vice President of the Chinese Mountaineering Association, Xun Mei, Vice Chairman of the CPPCC Rizhao Municipal Committee, Liu Changlu, Vice President of the Shandong Mountaineering Sports Association, Ma Weiqiang, Secretary of the Wulian County Party Committee, An Mulei, President of the Shandong Climbing Association, Hao Shanshuang, Director of the Wulian County People’s Congress Standing Committee, Ma Xuexue, Chairman of the Wulian County CPPCC, Tian Jun, Deputy Director of the Rizhao Municipal Sports Bureau, Guo Zihui, General Manager of Beijing Nantianxing Sports Industry Development Co., Ltd., as well as guests and journalists from across the country, attended the opening ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Wang Hui, Member of the Standing Committee of the Wulian County Party Committee and Minister of Propaganda.

It is reported that this edition of the Mountain Marathon is organized by the Chinese Mountaineering Association, and hosted by the Shandong Mountaineering Sports Association, Rizhao Municipal Sports Bureau, and the People’s Government of Wulian County, with co-organization by the Wulian County Tourism and Culture, Sports and Broadcasting Bureau and Rizhao Kunyun Cultural Tourism Development Co., Ltd. It is the highest-level sporting event hosted by Wulian County this year. The competition features three categories: the 42-kilometer individual mountain marathon, the 21-kilometer individual mountain marathon, and the 8-kilometer mass fitness race.
