2015 Hualien Adventure Season - 3D Children's Day Opens with Flyboy Fei's Light Aircraft Flight Over the Venue

The annual "2015 Hualien Adventure Season – 3D Children's Day" event in Hualien County’s Fenglin Technology Park officially kicked off on July 4. In addition to the launch of larger and upgraded 3D water-play facilities and 18 themed pavilions of the 3D Environmental Education Theme Park, the event also featured opening performances by local Hualien band JAD and stunt kite flyers. There was also an aerial show by light aircraft, and most notably, entertainer extraordinaire Chang Fei was part of the light aircraft fleet, piloting his own plane as it soared over the venue.

Last year during the opening of the "2014 Hualien Soaring Season", Chang Fei served as a spokesperson in the role of a light aircraft pilot. Although he is not an official spokesperson this year, he still flew over Hualien’s Fenglin Technology Park as part of the Hualien County Pilots Association’s light aircraft fleet. Chang Fei noted that all light aircraft operating in Hualien comply with regulations set by the Civil Aeronautics Administration and the Hualien County Government—possessing legal licenses, certified instructors, legal aircraft, and authorized flying locations. Hualien County Magistrate Fu Kun-chi stated that the "2015 Hualien Adventure Season Activity – 3D Children's Day" has officially opened. During the hot summer, it offers Taiwanese families a warm and fun place where parents and children can hold hands and enjoy a splashing good time together in the water park. Moreover, after a one-week trial operation, the park received strong support from the local community. At the same time, the "3D Environmental Education Theme Park" features 18 themed pavilions, including a 3D painting gallery showcasing Hualien’s beautiful mountains and waters, two block-building pavilions using eco-friendly materials for exhibits and DIY projects, two cosplay pavilions, two game pavilions, one library, and a cinema showing around 30 environmentally themed animated films—all opened on the same day. In addition, the four major theme parks in Hualien will begin opening one after another starting today (July 4), with the hope that Taiwan’s summer tourism highlights will begin in Hualien.

The Hualien County Government has hosted the "Hualien Adventure Season" for three consecutive summers to revitalize local industries. This year’s "2015 Hualien Adventure Season Activity – 3D Children's Day" at the Hualien Circular Economy Science Park, according to the Hualien County Tourism Department, not only added large-scale water-play areas—featuring giant water slides, water fountain zones, water bed play areas, and mist rooms—but also transformed 18 factory buildings into educational and entertaining 3D environmental education theme pavilions. There is also a tethered hot air balloon experience allowing visitors to take in the magnificent views of the Huatung Valley. It’s a comprehensive event combining land (exhibition areas), sea (water-play zones), and air (hot air balloons), hence the name "3D Children's Day".

This year, the water-play area and equipment were significantly expanded. Designed with the concept of “water resource recycling,” visitors can use all the water-play pool facilities after purchasing entry tickets—including the super-cooling mist room and thrilling water slides—to enjoy a refreshing yet exciting summer.
