Must-try Kyoto food: Huge fried spaghetti eel and prawn N< rice bowl that’s too big to fit

Kyoto has many delicious foods, such as the famous Arashiyama Hiroshige unagi don, which is on many people’s must-visit lists. On this trip to Kyoto, a friend introduced Jeff to a shop famous for its fried dishes called “Ten Shu,” and it’s best to go there at noon because the limited-time lunch set offers amazing value for money. Both the fried spaghetti eel (fried spaghetti eel) and fried prawns are much larger than you’d expect. When the server brings them out, you can’t help but exclaim, “Wow, they’re so big!” The cheapest option is the spaghetti eel (fried spaghetti eel) Ten N<，只要1100日圆，最贵的也只要1900日圆。

The Ten Shu limited-time lunch set is simple, with only four options: the spaghetti eel Ten N<(1100日圆，3只大穴子)、天周风かき扬げ天N<(1600日圆，一般大小虾子及野菜)、ミックス天N<(混合天N<，1700日圆，2只大穴子及一只大炸虾)、大海老天N<(1900日圆，大炸虾2只)，由于这家店颇有名气，中午时刻会有很多来自中港台的旅客，有时需要排一下队，这时服务人员会事先帮你点餐，杰夫看完菜单后，因为很想吃穴子天N<及大海老天N<，于是决定点了有大穴子也有大炸虾的ミックス天N<。

There aren’t many seats in the shop, mostly at the counter. Since we had already ordered while waiting in line, once seated, it was just a matter of waiting. But staring at the plump spaghetti eel and large prawns, while the aroma of the fried dishes wafts over, your mouth will start watering uncontrollably. Once the server brings them out, the entire bowl N<饭不但被大SIZE的炸穴子、炸虾整个盖满，而且还装不下咧。天周的炸穴子及炸虾面衣很特别，带一点软、不刺口，很香，而且与一般的炸虾不同，天周炸物的面衣并不厚，里头是吃得到真材实料；另外，然后店家淋上甜甜咸咸的酱汁也超下饭。

Finally, a reminder: be sure to come at noon (11:00 to 14:00), as the limited-time lunch set is only available then. For just 1,100 to 1,900 yen, you can enjoy delicious N<饭，晚上就不提供这4种N<饭，而是5000日圆的大套餐。
