Zengzi Mountain

Zengzi Mountain is a national AA-level tourist attraction.

Zengzi Mountain is located in Weizhuang Township, 41 kilometers south of Pingyi County. The scenic area boasts lush mountains and clear waters, uniquely shaped peaks and rocks, and evergreen pines and cypresses, offering exceptionally beautiful and striking natural landscapes. From south to north, the area features a series of peaks including Dacang Mountain, Zengzi Mountain, Fugui Peak, Transparent Fortress, and YINHE Mountain. At the foot of Zengzi Mountain lies Nanzhucheng Village, the hometown of Zengzi, one of the Four Sages of Confucianism and known as the Sage of Filial Piety, as well as the birthplace of a host of other notable historical figures such as Zeng Dian, Yang Hu, Yang Xin, and Tantai Mie Ming. Rich in cultural significance and blessed with outstanding individuals, it has long been known as the "Exquisite Flower of Southern Shandong."

The Zengzi Mountain Scenic Area features attractions such as the Tomb of Zengzi, the Tomb of Zeng Dian, the ruins of the ancient Wucheng City, cliff carvings and stone inscriptions on Fugui Peak, the Reclining Stone, Transparent Fortress, and the Taoist cultivation site of Pengzu. It is also home to captivating legends such as Zengzi Slaughters a Pig, Cuts a Cliff to Subdue a Flood Dragon, the Magic Donkey Carries Water, Wearing Shoes Backward, and Transparent Fortress. With its unique natural and cultural landscapes, Zengzi Mountain has become an ideal destination for tourists from within and beyond the province to sightsee, pay homage to historic sites, hike to breathtaking viewpoints, explore hidden wonders, and enjoy leisure and vacation.
