Mengshan Renjia Scenic Area is the most typical ancient village in the Yimeng Mountain area. Located on the eastern foothills of the main peak of Mengshan Mountain, it is embraced by rolling hills, boasts a beautiful and serene environment, and features an antique and elegant charm. Here you’ll find a ten-li (approximately five kilometers) long thrilling river valley, an ancient village with a thousand years of history, and a cluster of century-old stone houses. This is the earliest settlement of the Yimeng people and was once the site of the original Mengshan County government. To this day, remnants such as the old Yimeng County government office and its former site are still preserved. The area showcases the most representative Yimeng folk customs, the most genuine local hospitality, and the most eco-friendly organic produce, with a self-sufficient traditional way of life. Key attractions include ancient dwellings, Longmen Three Pools, Sword Pond, Tiger Cave, the former site of the Yimeng County Party and government offices, Golden Toad Stone, Guanyin Willow, Locust Flower Valley, South Stone Buddha, Startling Stone, Turtle Worshipping the Moon, Stone Waterfall Cliff, and Spirit Spring. Supporting participatory activities include a mill, oil press, steamed bun shop, pancake stall, tofu workshop, and farmhouse experiences—making it an idyllic getaway and a dreamlike hometown for urbanites seeking a return to simplicity.
