Yuxiu Mountain Prince Lu Tomb

The Yuxiu Mountain Prince Lu Tomb is a cultural heritage site protected by the Shandong Province.

The Yuxiu Mountain Prince Lu Tomb is located in Xiaohoushan Village, Baiyan Town, Pingyi County. It dates back to the Ming Dynasty. In 2013, it was designated as part of the fourth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage sites by the Shandong Provincial People's Government.

In the southern foothills of Yuxiu Mountain in eastern Baiyan Town, there are two large ancient burial grounds. The western burial ground is located northeast of Xiaoshanhou Village, while the eastern one is north of Daying Village. The western burial ground contains two royal tombs with well-preserved earthen mounds. According to historical records and inscriptions from unearthed tomb epitaphs, the tombs belong to Zhu Dangcong, the Prince of Lu Huai during the Ming Dynasty, and Zhu Jianyi, the Prince of Lu Dao. The mounds in the eastern burial ground have been leveled, and apart from the Imperial River Bridge, most of the surface structures have been destroyed. However, based on artifacts and remnants found on the surface, this area is also believed to be the site of Ming Dynasty Prince Lu tombs, although the identities of those buried remain unrecorded in historical texts.

Baiyan Town: Baiyan Town is located at 117°33" east longitude and 35°14" north latitude. It lies in the southern part of Pingyi County, on the southwestern edge of the Yimeng Mountain area, along the upper reaches of the Wenliang River in the Yihe River system. To the east, it neighbors Weizhuang Township and Zhengcheng Town; to the south, it borders Zaozhuang City; to the west, it connects with Jining City; and to the north, it is adjacent to Liuyu Town. The town is 35 kilometers from the county seat. The terrain here is diverse, characterized by distinct mountainous features. Aside from some plains along the Wenliang River, the area mainly consists of hills, with many sections being mountainous.
