Gaoqing Qiancheng Lake Ecological and Cultural Park is a national AAA-level tourist attraction and a national water conservancy scenic area.

Qiancheng Lake Ecological and Cultural Park is situated in the southern part of Gaoqing County, along the central road to the eastern ring road section of the North Branch New River, spanning 2,260 meters. It is a comprehensive water system project that combines environmental pollution control, plain reservoirs, ecological restoration, and landscape construction. The construction process involved excavating 1.1 million cubic meters of earthwork, clearing 400,000 cubic meters of sludge, planting 150,000 seedlings, and developing an area of 100.2 hectares. The park features cultural landscapes such as Tianheng Mountain, the Thousand-Character Classic Square, the Twelve Zodiac Warriors, the Flying Fish Turning into a Dragon, the Five Blessings Mountain, a musical fountain, a children’s playground, Lover’s Island, a pebble play area, and a waterside reading garden. These elements fully embody the concepts of culture, ecology, harmony, and development, showcasing the distinctive characteristics of Gaoqing as a Yellow River wetland garden city that integrates water and urban life, and harmonizes humanity with nature.

Self-driving Guide: Take the Binlai Expressway — exit at Gaoqing North — drive 13.8 km west on S319 — then 2.7 km south on Luhu Road — then 600 m east on Qinghe Road to reach the destination. It takes about 20 minutes from the expressway exit to the scenic area.
