Zibo Zoo

Zibo Zoo is a national AA-level tourist attraction.

Zibo Zoo was established in October 2005 and is located on the north side of National Highway 309 in Hutian Town, backed by Yuhuang Mountain and adjacent to Yudai Lake to the west.

Zibo Zoo was jointly invested in by Zibo City and Zhangdian District. It is the largest modern zoo in central Shandong. After four years of effort and with strong support from all sectors of society, it now houses over 860 animals and has become a comprehensive zoo integrating animal breeding and exhibition, entertainment, science education, wildlife conservation, and catering services.

The zoo is divided into an animal exhibition area, animal performance area, amusement area, and food service area. As visitors enter the zoo, they step into a world of animals. The sounds of various beasts and birds fill the air; the park is covered with dense woods, blooming flowers, and lush green lawns, making it a favorite among visitors. It has become an ideal destination for local residents to relax, connect with nature, get close to animals, and engage in science education, receiving over 200,000 visitors annually.

Various animal exhibition halls are nestled among the greenery, seamlessly blending with the natural surroundings. The Bird Garden — where rare birds sing and dance gracefully; Tiger Hill, Lion Hill, Bear House, and Leopard Park — where fierce animals roar proudly and roam the hills; the Marine Life Pavilion — showcasing a variety of tropical fish, turtles, and reptiles in dazzling displays; the Seal Performance amazes visitors and keeps them lingering; the zoo also features more than ten large amusement facilities such as bumper cars, bumper boats, carousels, trackless trains, and laser combat arenas, making it a paradise for teenagers to play; when visitors are tired, they can also take the zoo’s sightseeing vehicles for easy transport.
